SSH and RDP Network Firewall

VxShield begins with ports closed. External SSH or RDP connections need a port rule in VxShield as well as permission in the server’s operating-system firewall.
SSH and RDP Rules
Section titled “SSH and RDP Rules”Use the Generic TCP filter when you add SSH and RDP ports in VxShield. Both remote administration services use TCP.

Recommended Setup
Section titled “Recommended Setup”- Go to the VxShield dashboard.
- Choose the protected IP assigned to the VPS or dedicated server.
- Select Add rule.
- Choose Single mode.
- Set the filter to Generic TCP.
- Fill in the port used by SSH or RDP.
- Apply the rule, then try connecting with your SSH or Remote Desktop client.
