Does DayZ DDoS protection cost extra?

VxShield is included with the managed DayZ plan. Choose your city and billing term to review the order. Your order total, including applicable taxes and fees, is shown before payment.

Does anti-DDoS hosting guarantee no downtime or lag?

No. VxShield provides best-effort filtering; no plan promises immunity from every attack or uninterrupted service. Mod scripts, server workload, a player's connection and network routing can also cause lag. A protection feature alone cannot establish the cause of a connection problem.

What does the 17 Tbps figure mean?

It is the aggregate capacity stated for VxShield's filtering network. It is not a dedicated allocation to your DayZ server, proof that every attack will be stopped, or a gameplay-latency measurement. Filter behavior and evidence for the relevant traffic matter alongside capacity.

Do I have to configure VxShield myself?

VYKIX manages VxShield protection for managed DayZ hosting. VPS and dedicated-server customers manage their own rules through the VxShield dashboard. If you are following a firewall guide, check which hosting model it applies to.

Does the protection cover DayZ A2S query floods?

The managed DayZ profile includes an Anycast cache for supported A2S_INFO server-browser requests. On a cache hit, the edge replies without passing that request to your DayZ process. Cache misses and other query types need separate handling. An A2S response measures a browser check, not gameplay ping.

Can I move a DayZ server that is being attacked?

Ask VYKIX to review the current service, available backups and migration scope before buying or cancelling the old server. File access and a compatible PC setup are needed. Moving is not a guarantee that attacks will stop; keep independent backups and agree on how players will find the new address.
