Install and maintain DayZ
Set up the VPS operating system, DayZ server, mods and any panel you want to use. Schedule updates and restarts, then test a client connection after changes. VXPanel's managed DayZ workflow is a separate service.
Control access and security
Maintain OS patches, firewall rules and admin accounts. VxShield filters attacks upstream; you still secure the software on your VPS. Run DayZ under a separate service account rather than the root account.

Game VPS is a self-managed service. You install and configure the DayZ PC server, mods and admin tools, and maintain the VPS operating system. Choose managed DayZ hosting for the included VXPanel game-management workflow.
Which VPS plan should I choose for DayZ?
Choose against the measured workload of your map, mods and expected players. Include the operating system, other services, saves and backups in the allocation. There is no fixed player count guaranteed for every DayZ setup; ask VYKIX to review your workload if you need help choosing.
Can I run a DayZ server on Linux?
Yes. Bohemia publishes a Linux server guide, and its server requirements also list Windows. Check the compatibility of your particular mods and admin tools, and confirm your preferred VPS OS option before ordering. Root access does not mean the DayZ process should run as the root user.
Is a DayZ VPS a dedicated physical server?
No. A Game VPS is a virtual machine with a defined vCPU, RAM and NVMe allocation. VYKIX's bare-metal offer rents a complete physical server. Both differ from managed DayZ, where you manage the game through VXPanel rather than the operating system.
