Files and permissions

Share your PC host, map, mods and server version. Confirm access to mission, configuration, persistence and mod data, with permission to transfer licensed content. Keep credentials out of public chats.

Test your copied world

Keep an independent backup. Test the copied mission, mods, saved progress and access controls with an admin join; a successful startup does not prove the whole world transferred.

Agree the handover

Agree on a final save, stop and copy to avoid splitting the world across two servers. Share the new join details and keep the old service until checks pass.

Migration help is free and best-effort where feasible. Files, compatibility and job size determine the scope. VYKIX may decline an incompatible or unreasonably risky transfer; agree the scope before planning a move date.

DayZ server migration questions.

Is DayZ server migration free?

VYKIX offers free migration help and seven days free for eligible switchers. Assistance is best-effort where technically feasible. Scope, timing, eligibility and any promotion limits must be agreed first; the terms of service govern the offer.

Can I move from Nitrado or GPORTAL?

A compatible DayZ PC setup may be transferable if you can export the required files. Confirm your provider's current download options and the data you can access before ordering. VYKIX does not host Xbox or PlayStation DayZ servers, and this is not a console-save conversion service.

Will players keep their bases and progress?

That depends on the mission, persistence and mod-specific files available, and whether they are compatible with the new setup. Ask for those requirements to be reviewed and test the imported world. A different map, incompatible mod data or missing files may require a fresh start.

Can the move happen with zero downtime?

No zero-downtime promise is made. A final stopped-server copy may be needed to avoid diverging saves. Agree on a maintenance window, test the destination and give players the new address before ending the old service.

What will hosting cost after the move?

The destination uses VYKIX's managed DayZ plan, with no added player-slot fee. Review the billing term and any agreed switcher promotion in the portal. Your order total, including applicable taxes and fees, is shown before payment.
