Rearmed DayZ, a well-known DayZ community, recently achieved impressive results with our Intel Core 13900K processor in the popular game DayZ Standalone. By pushing the limits of the processor and overclocking it to a staggering 5.8 GHz, REARMED achieved unprecedented levels of performance in the game.

To achieve this level of overclocking, we utilized several techniques and tools, including carefully selecting the correct motherboard and cooling solution. We also employed a range of BIOS settings to fine-tune the overclock and ensure stability.

One key factor in our success was the use of high-quality water cooling.

REARMED DayZ Water Cooling System

Overclocking a processor generates significant heat; proper cooling is necessary for the processor to become stable and avoid permanent damage. We used a custom water-cooling setup consisting of a large radiator and high-performance fans to keep the processor running at optimal temperatures.

In addition to using a robust cooling solution, we also carefully examined motherboard selection. We chose a Z-model motherboard with a robust power delivery system, good VRM cooling, and features like voltage checkpoints and onboard temperature sensors, which allowed us to monitor and fine-tune the overclock.

Once we had the proper hardware, we began overclocking the processor. This involved adjusting several BIOS settings, including the base clock speed, the processor’s multipliers, and the voltages supplied to the processor. We also used software tools like Intel (XTU) to fine-tune the overclock and ensure stability.

After a series of trials and errors, we achieved a stable overclock of 5.8 GHz, significantly boosting the performance in DayZ. The resulting improvement in frame rates and overall gameplay was dramatic, with Rearmed DayZ reporting that the game was running smoothly and without any issues.

While overclocking can be a risky and time-consuming process, our results demonstrate the potential rewards for those willing to push their hardware to the limit. With the right tools, knowledge, and care, it is possible to significantly increase the performance of a processor and take gaming to new heights.
